Got the new Edmond Baudoin, Les fleurs de cimetiere, a few days ago - some sample pages here. Need to find some undistracted time to linger with this one. Although a few of his books have been translated into English I don't think there's much awareness of the context or significance of his work in the anglosphere; he gave up working as an office worker in his thirties and published his first book around the age of 40 (hope for us all looking for a later life transformation...), and his work was at the vanguard of the independent revolution in Franco-Belgian comics from the 80s onwards. This book is a tome of almost 300 pages reflecting on his life and art practice; he's almost 80 and still working.

on Free Comic Book Day in my little rural hometown I got a copy of "Archie's Mad House" from 1968 and a Little Lulu from the '70s. Not a purchase technically but I bought some '90s Marilyn Monroe "pinup" trading cards to give the collectibles shopkeep some cash.

I have a good haul of stuff coming from a few different sources and it will probably be my last big comics purchases for the year.
Waiting on Invasion On Aisle 2 part 2 by Erik Jasek, then a handful of books coming from fellow board members Max Huffman and Wig Shop (Simon Hanselmann: Performance, King Cat bundle, Corey Feder: I Am Famous on CCTV, and Street Cop), still waiting on my copies of Discipline and Man Without Talent to show up, Goodnight Hem is supposed to be coming from Fanta but I pre-ordered it forever ago and haven't got shipping notification... And awaiting my last order from Strangers. I know I ordered The Onaut by Bryce Martin and issue 6 of Strangers, but can't remember if there was anything else in that order.

Just got an order in from my fav distro WIG SHOP today! One Eight Hundred Ghosts by G. Davis Cathcart and Vector Hugo by Matthew Thurber. That Cathcart book looks gorgeous! Also, I hit my LCS today to pick up volume 1 of Nod Away by Joshua Cotter after having seen so many people on my timeline go nuts for the latest volume. It's a great looking book and i'm excited to get into it this week.
