Simon just posted that there about 330 copies left in stock. Which is insane. And they will probably go fast now.

My little news site's experienced a sizeable bump in traffic for about two weeks now from people coming in looking for You Will Own Nothing. So I've been pretty confident of a speedy sell-out. Damn impressive.

Is there a specific Reddit that's good for sharing this kind of stuff? Yeah. This one's good for non-genre, alternative stuff. It's fairly busy, too: www.reddit.com/r/altcomix/For indie genre and alternative: www.reddit.com/r/noDCnoMarvel/For indie genre: www.reddit.com/r/indiecomics/For zines: www.reddit.com/r/zines/Ta-da! EDIT: I should just add, some users think posting the same content across multiple subreddits is bad form. Also, if you have a poke around, you'll get an idea of what kind of work goes down well on what subreddit. So, there. That explains why some of my comics posts have been downvoted. Around how many crossposts is too many?

That explains why some of my comics posts have been downvoted. Around how many crossposts is too many? I'm not a particularly experienced Redditor. Before discovering the alt comix sub, I'd posted maybe 3 or so times over 6 years? That said, I have seen a number of posts moaning about cross posted content. Maybe people feel it comes over as more marketing than 'community' participation? I dunno. None of this applies to cross posting someone else's posts, of course. Also, it does sometimes happen that great work gets minimal upvotes while quite mediocre stuff (imo) does okay. Life's a mystery to me.

I put in place a self-imposed comic-buying moratorium in mid-April, and truly every day there's a new book out that I want to buy.

One of my favorite web comics from 2020-2023 has been fully released in print! Michael Mouse by Mitch Lohmeier. Intense crime filled, drug fueled, duck/mouse feuding. Partners and Son has the goods here: partnersandson.com/products/michael-mouse

I just read Cameron Arthurs Swag 4, which I thought was pretty incredible. I can't pin down exactly what he was trying to say with it, except it really resonated with me, every panel/line of dialogue felt inevitable in this hopeless way, but then there were moments of people trying to break through into a different way of relating. really interesting stuff.
