Wanna give another shout out to Mixam. They printed one of my books and came out very well! Good quality work.

I just got back my new comic from Mixam and it looks pretty terrible. They didn’t trim it correctly so half the books have a little white on the edges. Also there were scuffs and scratches on pretty much all the covers. I was pretty disappointed. Luckily they are reprinting it for me. Hopefully it comes back better this time.

I just sent my biggest print job yet to Mixam a few days ago. Hoping for the best.

Lemme cop the one in the last image, gonna be a collectors item!
I hope they reprint for free, I've heard they have before.

Ya I’m in the U.S. that last image was from the second reprint. They said they’d try again. Three times the charm. If it doesn’t work at least I get 100 free copies of guts out of it.

To throw more mixed opinions into the ring about Mixam, I just got a big order...3 different comics plus 4 different 6x9" art prints and it's all perfect.

So to summarize, for a small 150-ish run of digital copies, the thread is mixed-leaning positive on Mixam?
I'm interested in hearing about more people's experiences with printers so I'm bumping this thread

Depending on where you're based there might be some good local options though. I know Lone Crow Printing in Columbus has been doing good work for people lately.

My mistake, I meant "Quality OF service." referring to their customer care and their delivery courier who are absolute shite(DPD). I had a large (for me at least) order of comics and prints etc go south at every level once I paid up. I haven't been too bothered by the global paper shortages and reductions of possible book sizes. Must admit tho I'm keen to go somewhere local and try out different stocks and printing techniques... Seem's like a more relaxed way of comics life. Would still recommend Mixam in general but not for big orders or multiple things. Would you recommend Mixam for a bulk order of 250-500 comic copies? I used Mixam to print a color, 180+ page paperback, 700 copies (it was Kickstarter funded). They came out VERY good. Definitely a good one to use.

I used Lone Crow Printing out of Columbus, OH for the second printing of Audra Show No. 6 and was happy with the results. <10 books weren't trimmed vertically, but for the price point I wasn't bothered by the error and it was easily rectified with my own paper cutter. I paid $184 for 100 "standard comic book size" copies after discounts and taxes, plus an additional $30 for shipping.

Has anyone used Print Ninja? (what a name) I used PrintNinja for a print run of one of my webcomics (full color offset, 1k copies), after a Kickstarter campaign in 2019. They were very easy to deal with, had great customer service, and the books came out good.
They print in China, so take the shipping time/cost into account as well.
