Hey all,
Figured since we are all talking comics here, why not share some snippets of what we are working on. It could be a panel or page of a comic, a line from a script, a passage from an essay about some work or another. Would love to know what y'all have been upto!

This looks great!! Is this a one off comic, or you planning to make it a series? Also yeah, color is definitely better for online.
Here is something relatively new. If I'm going to share work online, color is better.

Thanks! This is definitely a one-pager. I'm doing longer narratives right now, and single page ideas give me a chance to do something different and refresh myself.

A recent page of Meeting Comics. The current issue that I'm serializing at patreon is Meeting Comics: The Musical!

I feel like everyone's work deserves its own thread.
Ian M - That blue is so nice and I'd love to read more of this and get a sense of the space you're in. And the quiet. You using a brushpen?
k0rnbr34d - My eyes keep being drawn back to all those arms. Really love that page.
bhanu - Would also love to see more for context. Looks good.
mikesheawright - This is an intense project. Are you treating BGs the same way you'd treat characters? Do you typically draw super detailed figure etc? Are you enjoying it?
andrewneal - Hey I just read your "Gag Reflex" article on Solrad and was very entertained. You were snubbed! But I agree with you and reckon the Eisner will go to Wendy.
pietrykowski - Neat!
Am I out of line responding this way to everyone? You wanted feedback/engagement right? Like I said I think people could post to their own threads and get some more back and forths. That was how it went back in 2006 on the Gingerboxx forums!

I feel like everyone's work deserves its own thread. If the forum takes off, and there are some subforms, that's a good idea. I'd be happier posting new work on a space like this than on Facebook or Instagram or any other algorithm-based site. I fluctuate in my work style, but this is probably my most "accomplished" style, that is, the one I can consistently pull off. I did a book of it about traveling alone in Kyoto. It was being sold through Birdcage Bottom Books, but they're sold out, and for reasons they don't want copies through me and the publisher doesn't have anymore/isn't operating. So I have 40 copies on my shelf that don't have American distribution. That is using the large Zebra calligraphy pen, with the lettering done with a smaller brush pen.

But if there's hundreds of active users maybe that'll change. Edit: I changed my mind
