That is using the large Zebra calligraphy pen, with the lettering done with a smaller brush pen. I'd absolutely love to buy one off of you directly if you're offering.

Yeah, sure! I put my Gumroad store into my signature. Shipping is double what it is from the States, but if that's alright...

I feel like everyone's work deserves its own thread. Ian M - That blue is so nice and I'd love to read more of this and get a sense of the space you're in. And the quiet. You using a brushpen? k0rnbr34d - My eyes keep being drawn back to all those arms. Really love that page. bhanu - Would also love to see more for context. Looks good. mikesheawright - This is an intense project. Are you treating BGs the same way you'd treat characters? Do you typically draw super detailed figure etc? Are you enjoying it? andrewneal - Hey I just read your "Gag Reflex" article on Solrad and was very entertained. You were snubbed! But I agree with you and reckon the Eisner will go to Wendy. pietrykowski - Neat! Am I out of line responding this way to everyone? You wanted feedback/engagement right? Like I said I think people could post to their own threads and get some more back and forths. That was how it went back in 2006 on the Gingerboxx forums! I do think eventually, if there were sub forums, we could but right now it would be way too many threads in one forum. Also, not out of line at all, I think we are all here because of how tiring engagement on social media has become. Rather how meaningless at times it can be. Would rather people talk about work, give feedback, share thoughts more honestly. I just use social media to promote my work now, and find artists to talk to in dms etc. And to your comment- The comic is just about done, will share it in full here if the client(writer) decides to release it for free. Thank you!

mikesheawright- Wonderfully intense and detailed work. I think keeping the characters less detailed than the environment works great. andrewneal- haha, really like the dance beats. I always find lyrics hard to convey or even read though (I think that's a me issue). pietrykowski- Damn, how long is the loop going to be eventually? zpalladino- That's such a fun style. Is this work available online?

Here is something relatively new. If I'm going to share work online, color is better. Hey this is really lovely, do you have an IG or other website you post stuff at?

hmm not sure about treatment totally, but visually i just want the environment to kind of take over the characters. i guess i'm just tired of drawing people and then sort of shoehorning them into backgrounds that i don't want to draw. so this is a challenge to go environment-forward and see if some sort of vibe and/or story comes to it. might be ten pages, might be 100 iono but i am SUPER enjoying it. i tend to draw super detailed drawings in my sketchbook but often rush comics drawings or take lazy shortcuts, so filling in these boxes as if they're sort of sketchbook sort of comic is nice and satisfying.

Hey this is really lovely, do you have an IG or other website you post stuff at? Thanks! I added that to my signature as well, but my Instagram is all over the place. For a few years, I did brush-drawn autobio, and I just felt comfortable with it and wanted to challenge myself, so for the last year or two, I've been doing stuff I'm not so confident with: one story done 100% with an iPad, another with nibs. The iPad one I'm posting twice a week on Facebook and Instagram, and the other will start going up after that's done. Tonally they have lots in common, but I already know I have a lot more difficulty getting an impact in fiction than I do in autobio, and brushes suit my artistic leanings more than other media (so far! that's why I'm working on it). Give it a week, and I may start a thread here to post my better work.

Here's the first 4 thumbs turned loose pencils for the introductory scene of a New Untitled Comic! I haven't started on a comic since around this time last year so it feels good to get back on the horse 🌟

Currently adding grey tones to a 12-page story I've written and drawn. Here's page 8: Criticism and feedback welcome, cheers.

The only feedback would be to have the first narration be a bit shorter maybe? But then it's hard to know without context. Or have it broken down amongst panels. But those last few panels are killer. Would love to read this whenever you put it out.

Redrew a Halloween Comic I made two years ago (my first longer comic that I ever finished). I'll be posting it daily on my IG (in my signature) leading up to the 31st. Inspired by some dreams and where I lived at the time that I wrote it. Let me know what you think!
