Comics for periodicals and newsletters

Something I wanted to ask. I do a webcomic that I designed to be print-friendly. It already runs in my local newspaper every week, but I'm hoping to expand its print appearance.

So I'm wondering if there are any zines, periodicals, and newsletters that would be worth submitting my comic to? The main character is a librarian who also writes her own stories on the side, so I'm thinking any publications focusing on writing and libraries might be interested in it, but I'm willing to have it run in almost any publications, including other newspapers (whether they be alternative newsweeklies or college newspapers).

According to the submission guidelines, SWING is only accepting unpublished work, meaning webcomics like baker's or mine wouldn't qualify, right, unless you're making an exception?
