More so than most comics, long-running shonen manga have the worst endings. Sometimes I wonder if Japanese people don't care because the Tale of Genji has no real ending...or if people just use that as an excuse for having bad endings.
That being said, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure has had some great endings. Part 1, Part 3, Part 4 and Part 7 specifically.

i think i mentioned this somewhere else here but the end of Ping Pong is the only time i cried reading a comic. not like wept but y'know, teared up.
more recently i found the end of Sunday pretty emotionally overwhelming in a good way, really stuck the landing on that one.
more mainstreamly the end of 100 Bullets is so great, that whole last issue fucking rips. ambiguous without being a cop-out, which is a tough balance.
i tend to think the shorter the story is the less it needs a satisfying ending. the longer the story is the more it needs to kind of wrap some stuff up. maybe it's a time investment thing, i like short little slices that just give you something to ponder, but if i've read something over a long time it feels like the stakes are a little higher and it needs at least something small to grasp onto as an ending. but i think the perfect ending feels like the story keeps going after the part we get to see.

I don't know why endings in comics would ever be difficult. If you get stuck you just have a character fall over with a "PLOP!" sound effect. You mean a flip-take? One of the essential comics devices, not present in any other media

I've been reading Yotsuba&! to my fiance right before going to sleep, and the unique ending in volume 3 is really something special. I've not noticed something like it in the others
