What’re you all working on right now? Putting the final dents in that graphic novel you’ve been working on for 5 years? Starting the first page of a mini comic? Not working on anything but want to start? Let’s discuss.

Currently doing layout for the third issue of my retrogaming zine, READ ONLY MAGAZINE. It's my favorite part of the process.

Between now and Halloween day we will be posting our Mondo Groovy Halloween Special on Instagram every Tuesday and Friday, for a total of 18 parts. So that means I am currently working on these strips with CJ (my co-conspirator) on and off throughout each day. Honestly, my favorite part is seeing the finished strip!

I've been serializing my first comic over on IG. I have another 20 page book I'll be releasing on Monday. But currently finishing up a short weird depression-fueled strip that might be published as a little zine.

I put myself on the artificial deadline of publishing a new minicomic every month this year. Eight down so far, working on the ninth. I've also been trying to get in a rhythm for my art/weird/mini comic blog Refreshing Rectangles. Starting off with just a couple posts a week but I'm hoping to ramp up and add more community resources.

Have been laying low for the past couple of weeks owing to nerve issues in arm, and then my tablet going off on me. But in the middle of a couple client works, and my own comic. Doubt I can answer the process poll, since I work on 2-3 spreads at once and mix writing/boarding/roughing/inking at the same time. They are are all very close, but I guess the final editing is the most fun along with boarding. I love to flip panels around, crop some, zoom some. Just saw editing isn't there... um so I guess boarding.

Working on a book that was originally going to be a small Zine, but keeps ballooning 😞 but it’ll be good when it’s done. Kinda want to have it finished by my October birthday since deadlines are weird and nebulous now.

Currently working on an article about CIA activity in the SF Bay Area for my zine. It’s fun and I’m excited to publish.

I 35 pages in a 80 or so page long comic, which was intially going to be just 48 pages. Trying to finish it in a few months if possible.

Totally, just trying to still keep at a length that is manageable for me to print myself. I sort of fantasize about the Fat Zine- I love those issues of Mickey Z Rav where the book is thik, so satisfying. Then you have to think about how you’re going to saddle-sitch that sucker…I know I could get it printed somewhere but I do feel like assembling that beast is a sort of paying your dues.

I will try to hawk to some indie folks, see if they wanna publish. I don't think I would have the money to even print a thicc zine, for it to fiscally make sense for me. But yeah, thick floppied zines are great. A heft all of their own. Best of luck for the book!! Go MAX!

Finishing inking page six, and finishing pencils on page seven of a twenty page story. I was hoping to have this done by the end of August but obviously it’s not going that way :/
