Alright comic/zine makers: what stapler do you use?
I have an old Bostich Booklet stapler, that looks like an older version of this:
This stapler works great for small zines and comics, because it helps keep all the pages together as you staple along the spine, but the staples keep getting stuck, the thing keeps jamming, etc. It might be time to get a new one, or it might be time to get a long arm one so I can staple up to 8.5 x 11...
What do you use? Do you like it? Can you provide a picture or a link?
Thanks.

Following along because I'm in the market. I've been leaning towards a long arm.

I staple every issue of bubbles with that bostich saddle stapler. It's my favorite stapler I've owned. I just let the 8.5 wide paper curve into that curved metal and it works great. My long arm stapler basically just lives under my bed now.
I have found it jams when there's only like 10-15 staples left. Works best with a full rack of staples, so I always keep my eye on that.

I have been using this basic boy for several years now. The Wingline 12" get's the job done but I'll probably upgrade if it ever gives out. Does the saddle/booklet staplers make life easier? Are they worth it?

I realized mine is a Swingline, not a Bostich, we'll see if it works the same way. I knew this was the place to ask! That's great to know! I'm going to try that with mine. After 20+ years of heavy use my Swingline finally blew a gasket today. This little black flange (I think they call it "the hammer") sproinged loose. Anybody know how to reconnect it? Attachments:
