Hi everyone-
I'm part of an organizing group that's putting together a new comics show in Rochester, NY on April 2nd, 2022. This is hopefully going to be a new yearly event focusing on comics as a medium and creating an affordable place for comics makers to table. I had a separate post discussing what makes a good comics show, and got a lot of great feedback there. We also had a fun time trying to come up with a new name since there already is a RICE (our group is going with RICE for this year- thinking of a name change for next year!). We're ready to share details on the event now that the venue has been confirmed so I'm going to share a few links here for interested folks.
Here's the event info:
and here's the information for folks thinking about exhibiting:
As things develop with this new wave of COVID coming through with Omicron, we'll be adjusting our event as we need to to make it safe. But for now, if interested, take a look and let me know if you have any questions. Applications are going to go up in the new year!
Thanks,
-Tom

Just sending out another reminder to anyone who wants to come sell comics and lives near Rochester, NY!
This show is turning out to be pretty neat so far. A few items:
- a food voucher is included for free to all vendors who are accepted. The voucher will count towards food at cafes that are in the same building as the show. - It's in an old historic department store in Downtown Rochester - Masks will be required for all attendees. Hopefully the Holiday/Omicron wave dies down by then.
- Table prices are low low low ($20/$40)
- Rochester is an hours drive from Buffalo and Syracuse, so we're starting to develop an exciting group of comics makers who come together for these events. And we would love to have you! If you can make it, please do!
Applications close at the end of the month, so even if you aren't 100% sure, you don't have to pay anything yet, so feel free to send out an application now, and then figure out logistics as we get closer to the event.
