Hi there! I run a small online used bookshop and just added a comic book component. I think I'm the only shop in the U.S. offering Det Grymma Svärdet (from Sweden) and Frankenstein Magazine (from Italy) online, both of which I really recommend. And I also have a bunch of older Japanese and French work in the shop, including issues of Garo and Metal Hurlant. I won't post again about it but figured some of you might be interested. The shop is at alltheoldpoisons.square.site/shop/comic-books/4. Thanks, and happy new year!

Grats on the grand opening of the comics department, sir. Looks good.

Ah, I meant to post on your original thread asking for suggested publishers - I'd buy almost any Fremok book you're able to track down. There are two new Dominique Goblets in particular that I'd love to have...
70s Charlie Mensuels are a good idea too, those are great!

Down to the final 18 (of 109!) mags and specials released from '77 to '85, so you'll find that unrealistic list in your DMs. Fingers crossed, ha! Threw that list up in public, too, just for funsies. Man, so many tempting treats in your shop. I think I'll be kicking myself especially hard over standing down on those Ebisu volumes!

What an incredible selection, bravo on the grand opening of the comics section! If you have any 1984 Heavy Metals I'd scoop them up tout suite!

I like this weird cover with the painted-on suit. Me too! Anyone here happen to know who painted it? I fully failed at sleuthing. Still up for grabs!

The suit is pretty much why I was curious. I'll see if I can figure anything out this evening!

It could be Ikegami himself. All I found was that it was originally done for a fold out calendar in the original printing and then repurposed as the cover design for this printing.
But based on the Crying Freeman covers. I could see him having done this.

Good find! Does seem like it's Ohrai. Lots of Twitter posts sharing the cover with him attributed. Those posters are great.

Just a ping here because I know some folks were after these Black Hook Press books I just got in stock:
- Tale of the Beast by Tadao Tsuge: $23 - That Miyoko Asagaya Feeling: $27 - Dokudami Tenement (set of Vols. 1-3): $65
Not yet listed, so DM me if you're interested. Shipping is $4 flat. (And look at alltheoldpoisons.square.site if you'd like to build a bigger box.)

These are a good deal considering the price increases and delays with shipping from Japan these days! I cannot express how much I loved reading these releases, especially Dokudami Tenement. Really hope Black Hook Press releases more volumes of Dokudami Tenement in the future and can weather the rising price increases to paper and manufacturing.
