Scooped the first Epic tpb of Blueberry and some subsequent ones in French, and some Macherot books at the fantastic Debede in Montreal. The store is honestly unbelievable if you dig the classic Franco-Belgian stuff. Wish I coulda scooped more.
Also picked up Offshore Lightning at Librairie D&Q, which was/is cool but wasn't as much of a thrill to me as Debede

I wish Fanta carried on the translations after Kim Thompson's death, though I understand they were selling pretty poorly. The one they did translate is so charming, plus an incredible feat of translation on Thomspon's part―truly the best to ever do it.

Picked up Stories from Zoo and two Pisstopia comics, Bruce & Lola and Hobo Law, from Richmond Zine Fest a few weekends back. Great fest, got lots of great zines there, too.
I also got my copy of Swap Meet and Other Stories in, along with some swag.
The Pisstopia comics are great, no surprise there. I'm slowly working through Stories from Zoo, which has been really excellent so far; I might even have thoughts about it when I'm done.
Haven't cracked Doggie and Dew yet, but I'm looking forward to it.

Hell yeah. Thanks for copping. I'm a big fan of Pat Rooks' stuff and Zoo, so glad to be keeping that kind of company.

These. I like cartoon tie-ins and heard the Regular Show comic is pretty good. And I couldn’t say no to a beat up FF book with Doom on it.

Straining the defintion of recent (approaching a month ago), but here's my haul from Japan:
Dialed back what I bought compared to the last time I went to Tokyo (ultimately there's only so much I can get from image alone), but picked up a few bits I'd wanted - the crown jewel being the Umezz art book centered in the shot.

I was just looking through that Art Book again today! So amazing. And great news that My Name Is Shingo is coming into English at the end of February next year.
What's the Nejishiki thing?

What's the Nejishiki thing?
It's a tenugui - basically a Japanese tea towel - full pics here. I also picked up a screw style tote for the full merch package!

I went nuts on ebay with old Slave Labor Graphics stuff about a month ago. First trying to complete my Haunted Mansion run and then just grabbing stuff that looked cool. I spent too much but don't regret it.

Finally got my paws on Narrative Addiction 12, it's a fun one though I don't know how people who cant read in Chinese feel about that bilingual formatting (I hate it)

From a used bookstore this weekend: My first Palookaville! It feels old. It is old! Well made and I'd like to read more, but the value seems to be in his overall body of work rather than one issue. I also read Chameleon 2 last night, and that also seems like it's from a bygone era. A lot of the stories seem so brief, like they needed more space (or maybe like they didn't need any space at all, anywhere). But it's beautiful and I like Roman Muradov's story here. I'm also glad to have found the Ignatz edition of The End. Oh my god is it sad. Really lovely and moving. The rest remains in the pile for now.
