Seems like almost everyone on this forum indulged in the sale on the Taschen Krazy Kat book -- so I'd be curious to hear thoughts from anyone who has had the forearm strength to start reading it.
I have some of this material in the Fanta editions, but of course it's amazing to have so much of it and at such a large size. But I'm also very taken with the largish reproductions of original art in the frontmatter. I've struggled to find my way into some old newspaper strips in the past because even the best repro of the printed strips can't capture subtleties of the markmaking in Herriman (or Crane, or King...) -- so it's been quite revelatory for me to see Herriman's penwork clearly and at a larger size.

I've yet to find a long weekend afternoon to really sit with it yet, but definitely coming back here when I have - all the ancillary material interests me a lot more than the comics themselves, the majority of which I've probably read in one form or another.
