Is anybody from the forum at the Angoulême festival this year? I'm curious about the exhibitions (like those of Chris Ware and Christophe Blain).
Also: so great that Julie Doucet won the Grand Prix!

Zine Panique has posted some great photos of the Ware, Blain, and Mizuki exhibitions on Instagram.
I'm also thrilled about the Doucet win, and of course the exhibition of her work that will (I hope, assuming she agrees!) follow next year. I hope it'll place her comics alongside her work in collage, zines, etc. because I don't think I've ever seen those sides of her art examined together. Is she also the first Quebecoise winner? If not, I'm sure there haven't been many.

Also, I think Doucet is the first Canadian to win the Grand Prix

I was reading a recap of 2021 francophone comics news in Nicole last night and it seems like it got good press when it was released in November (including an interview in Liberation), don't know when voting schedules fall but seems like perfect placement!
