I read Santiago’s Roberto Clemente book a few weeks ago and enjoyed it. I thought the baseball parts in particular were well drawn and enjoyable, although some of the political parts (like Clemente’s humanitarian efforts and Puerto Rico’s political climate) could have been given more pages/attention. But I also knew nothing about Clemente before reading this book so others might have a different perspective
So this being Bubbles forum my main question is: to those who have actually seen a baseball game, did you enjoy the book? What did you think, especially about the baseball parts of it?
I’m also curious what people think of the book in general though, and Santiago as a cartoonist who I’d never heard of before this book either
