Anyone here going to/tabling at SPX?
Never been myself, this'll be my first time going. But it seems everyone I know involved in the indie comix scene is going.

I'll be attending that Saturday. Not tabling, though I am considering bringing a suitcase of books to hawk on the side. But I've always had a great time just walking around, too.

I love this! One step away from a trench coat, replacing the knockoff watches with minicomics.

Yeah! I forget where it's from, but there's an R. Crumb illustration of Crumb trying to sell his comics in a baby carriage on a crowded street corner. I'm not bold enough to do that, but I really love the idea of having something I can use to pitch my books to-go. IDK. It's all about having fun in the end of the day, right?

I will also be there! N6A, forum members should come say hi. I'll give you a zine or something. I'm on a panel as well, haven't done one of those in many years.

Feel like one of the things that makes SPX kind of a bummer is that people are walking around you don't necessarily know to say hi to, I have probably missed chances to say "I love your work" to people because they weren't behind a table.
If anybody's walking around with comics but not tabling on Sunday, say what's up and show your comics to the Partners And Son folks who will also be there walking around. (There's photos of them on their instagram.) They're good eggs.

Curious to hear any thoughts from others who attended. I thought it was a good show generally.
I didn't get to spend as much time browsing as I'd hoped so didn't discover any exciting cartoonists new to me, which I'm generally able to do at SPX.
Did anyone look at Dennis Kitchen's back issues? I kept meaning to, but missed that as well. Wonder why he decided to come.

I had a good time! Maybe a little less crowded than normal? I don't know. But still a good crowd for sure.
I bought Blood Club & Curse of the Molemen by Burn from Denis Kitchen. Sorta pricey, but they were deadstock.
Also great to meet people from Glacier Bay and Paradise Systems, hadn't been able to meet them in person before. Fun show!

I'm not sure if this is where it was originally printed, but that image was on the cover of an old Fantagraphics catalog back in the 90s.
