I'm looking to write something about this and was curious what all was out there. I'll start with a couple that I own: What's It All About Charlie Brown? - a 1969 fawcett paperback that dives deep into the wisdom of Peanuts through some thoughtful analysis. A pretty early example of the comic being taken seriously. Written by a very rich man, Jeffrey H. Loria. The Gospel According to Peanuts - Peanuts and Christianity. I mean it's not the surprising but still, what other comic (besides the family circus) would have a book like this written? The author has 2 other Peanuts related books too. Peanuts Dell Archive - Not that weird, but I found it on google today and want to remember it exists, looks sweet. What else is out there? I'm open to hearing about the dumbest to the most bizarre. Bonus points if you've read them and can vouch for them.

the Dell archive is great. I finally tracked down a hardcopy recently if you want any scans.
I also know someone who just got some Italian translations of at least one of the digest-size books. Not to say Italians are weird. But I could get him to send some pics. I was really interested to see how the font looked compared to Schulz. And it looks great!
There's also the Unseen Peanuts free comic book day issue that Fantagraphics put out. I've got a copy of that as well. Lots of interesting commentary from Kim Thompson.
Personal plug, but I just published a dumb Peanuts bootleg.

This isn't quite what you have in mind, I think, but maybe interesting -- I've always enjoyed the way European magazines like Charlie Mensuel and Linus reprinted old strips including Peanuts. 3-4 strips per page, 8-10 pages per issue. Plus of course with Linus there must be a story behind the name.

Personal plug, but I just published a dumb Peanuts bootleg. I am morally opposed to paying money for FCBD comics but I scooped Unseen Peanuts up on Ebay anyway. So great.

There's also a sequel to the Gospel According to Peanuts, titled The Parables of Peanuts: www.amazon.com/Parables-Peanuts-Robert-L-Short/dp/0060011610Monte Schulz published a Peanuts trivia book about 35 years ago. If I can find my copy I'll post a photo. And there's all the anniversary books that have come out over the years. The most interesting might be Happy Birthday Charlie Brown by Lee Mendelson, which mainly focuses on the TV specials.

Ha! I have those! They were originally a series of longer, "questions and answers" books focused on various topics (biology, outer space, etc.) that were then repackaged into these slim "cyclopedias". I had all the original books as a kid but lost them somewhere along the way. I think I nabbed the cyclopedias from my ex-wife's sister's kids (after they grew up). I should pull my copy out and take some snaps of the insides for you all, but while I'm thinking about it... I found out about the oddest Peanuts peripheral release that I own from this review in TCJ. PEANUTS MINUS SCHULZ by Ilan Manouach and hundreds of anonymous microworkers.

^^^ Interesting. The first Kidd/Spear Schulz book, which I'm sure you already have, is good for that sort of ephemera, too. EDIT: Funny Van Sciver vid on the two Kidd/Spear books -
