Just curious what everyone decided to pick up during the big Fantagraphics sale today (and the nearly as big sale over the weekend). I find myself scrolling through their entire catalog every time one of these sales comes up.

Just stuck with two things I've been eyeing for a while, the Corpse on the Imjin collection of Kurtzman stories and We Told You So: Comics As Art. I have way too much to read to go any crazier than that.

Damn this thread, and the mention elsewhere that this would be a good day to grab Sunday Press stuff, got me. Just ordered Sundays With Walt And Skeezix, White Boy In Skull Valley, and the 1922-1924 Krazy And Ignatz volume. Considered getting a Crepax volume too but I don't really know if there's a high point there.
If people are browsing the whole catalog and want a deep cut with a classic alt-comics vibe, I recommend Joe Daly's Highbone Theater, which I read for the first time a few months ago. Great inking, gags about smoking weed and believing in conspiracy theories. A brick of a book in terms of pagecount.

Picked up Slash Them All on Friday and then went for Little Nemo in Slumberland, Forgotten Fantasy, In Pictopia, and Schappi today. Couldn't resist the large format Sunday Press books anymore, Schappi was Bill from Copacetic's top picks for 2022, and I've been really into Don Simpson this year.

skoden, I'm really curious about Slash Them All. Didn't spring for it this time but could easily be tempted. Seems like the Sunday Press books stole the show this year -- I went in for Forgotten Fantasy and Dick Tracy, plus Ultrasound (maybe my favorite book of the year) and Complete Crepax Vol. 5. (I had planned to pick up Vol. 4, but it sold out!)

More Sunday Press love here, picked up Forgotten Fantasy and Little Joe.
As far as Fanta proper goes, I did the Fantabucks sale thing earlier in the year which I have used to keep up with newer releases so this go round I picked up books I have been meaning to grab for awhile but never got around to, so Art Young's Inferno, Whatsa Paintoonist? and No One Else.

Great inking, gags about smoking weed and believing in conspiracy theories. A brick of a book in terms of pagecount. I was just telling the beagle the other day that every sensible soul should have all of Daly's books on hand! I try to squirrel away all year for the big Fanta sales, or at least clear enough credit space so that I can properly injure myself, so here's a list of my many self-inflicted wounds from Monday: The Comics Journal #292 - Big interview with the whole Deitch clan The Fun Never Stops!: An Anthology of Comic Art 1991-2006 by Mr. Drew Friedman Dave Cooper's Overbite: Paintings & Drawings of Mostly Pillowy Girls The Complete Crumb Comics Vol. 8: The Death of Fritz the Cat Weathercraft by Jim Woodring (Been talking myself out of doubling up with this taller 2nd edition for years) Wallace Wood Presents Shattuck In Christ There is No East or West by Mike Taylor Boris the Potato Child by Anne Simon Dog Biscuits by Alex Graham Metax by Antoine Cossé Visual Abuse: Jim Blanchard's Graphic Art 1982-2002 John Stanley: Giving Life To Little Lulu From Granada to Cordoba by Pier Dola The Complete Crepax: The Time Eater And Other Horror Stories: Volume 2 and I preordered the new Tommi Parrish on Friday, because I've been holding my breath until it came out since February. PS - I'm going to pretend that the avalanche of Sunday Press pick-ups was all my doing.

Heh, I did something that I'm sure is familiar to many of you -- added a bunch of stuff to my cart and hesitated too long. I regret it of course.
Anyways, I did find it interesting to browse the Fanta store for the first time in a while. I didn't realize how broad the Disney output had become! Surprising! I wonder how it compares to Peanuts in terms of sales. Among upcoming releases I'm excited for the Jordan Crane short story collection and the new Chuckling Whatsit, maybe the first in a few Sala reprints?
