Great choice. I just read Yours again today. I'm always impressed with it. Pure visual poetry that pushes what comics can be. My choice is Mickey Zacchilli. Providence cartoonist (what are they putting in the water up there?) who was super prolific for a while. She has work all over the place (anthologies, minicomics, magazine illustration, newspaper strips, band fliers, patches, etc). Her artwork is typically super loose and full of energy. She was also one of the early adopters for risograph printing. Frank Santoro did a good interview with her on TCJ about it. Most of her work is kind of hard to track down nowadays though. 123 Space Academy is easily available and maybe the Kus anthology she was in, but most everything else is long out of print. Makes it a bitch to fill in the holes in my collection. She's currently doing a strip on her Twitter/Patreon. Fun so far.

I really enjoyed his strip in Ex Mag vol 1 and love the pencil textures. His series of Instagram posts earlier this year of like...timelapsed faces from video conference calls really broke my brain in the best way. Fingers crossed his various NY Times/etc newspaper strips will one day be collected. Yes!! I think I have everything he's printed and I love it all equally. I even made a PDF of everything on his old Tumblr haha. I would pay good money for a sketchbook collection and/or book of shorts def. I hope also he gets some collection of sorts, everything he does is great. That story in ExMag 1 was so good!
I have been enjoying too his recent drawings/comics in Hype*Pup.

Ah, I've been out of the loop and didn't realize that Zacchilli had a patreon going. I'm a big fan of her stuff, one of my absolute favorite possessions is this insane godzilla throw blanket I bought from her a few years back.

Of those already mentioned, absolutely Margot Ferrick, Lala Albert (I wasn't in love until I sat down with the Breakdown collection), Lale Westvind, Tommi Parrish, Anna Haifisch (excited about the English edition of the Schappi collection), and Connor Willumsen. Lale and Tommi were both supposed to have 2dCloud collections. Looks like the Lale might still be happening? The Tommi seems to have disappeared... I wish 2dCloud could get it together. I love them but they've obviously had a lot of trouble the last few years. As for those unmentioned so far... Melek Zertal Momo Gordon Leomi Sadler Son Ni Antoine Cosse

Also super excited for the Cosse Fanta book coming this year!

All great picks, which book is the Gillian Anderson Zertal book? I’ve been trying to track that one down. Also super excited for the Cosse Fanta book coming this year! It's called Slepless. Looks like it's only available from Euro shops now - Printed Matter had some a little while back. The publisher still has copies, though: fidele-editions.com/en/product/sleepless/Forgot about the Fanta Cosse! Should be nice. Glad it's a hardcover, too.
