I am starting this thread for a specific reason but titling it just "Chris Ware" so it can later be used for other Ware discussion, too. So... Does anyone know of any list of Chris Ware comics that were printed in The Daily Texan, New City and then the Chicago Reader? I am especially interested in what comics were printed in those three newspapers that were later NOT reprinted in the ACME Novelty Library. I have heard that there are many such comics. Also, all the Daily Texan newspapers are available HERE and I am very tempted to download all the issues that contain Ware comics, extract just the Ware comics from them and create an archive with an index. But it will take ages... And I might end up with hundreds of Ware comic pages only to realize that only a couple of them were not reprinted later. I really have no idea how many non-reprinted ones are among them... I understand that Ware wants people to forget that Floyd Farland (which btw was first published in the Daily Texan) exists, but does he feel the same way about his other old, never reprinted comics? I hope not! I would be so cool for example to have a book collecting all the Jimmy Corrigan material that most people (including most fans of his work) have never seen. Here is THIS ONE for example. Why is this and many of his other old work not readily available?

So he just redraws the exact same Thanksgiving dinner cover for the New Yorker every single year, right? Or do they just reprint it? Every fucking year, a family at a table with cell phones. CHRIS WARE YOU ARE A GENIUS!
