I don't want everyone to blow up my spot, but I love the Housing Works rando box. I found a bunch of vol. 1 Love & Rockets magazines there at like, a dollar each, and that was how I got hooked on L&R, reading those random assorted issues was perfect low-stakes entryway.

I would if it was certain to be collected in a trade at some point (it will be, surely?) but something about this series seems different in its publication and reception.... Meanwhile, Abrams, including their Comics Arts imprint, is having a 50% off everything on their site. Lot of modern bilge, of course, typical "mom" comics and wretched "bio" comics, but also old classics like the Griffith Nancy book, Kirby shit, etc. You can guess which I prefer and ordered. |

Man, fuck those guys. I've tried to order stuff from them half a dozen times, only to be informed the stock levels on their website were wrong and the items were gone. Totally unprofessional and inept. (Same thing used to happen all the time with Last Gasp as well... you can bet I don't order with them anymore either. Get it together, retailers!) |

As much as I love Last Gasp & their comics, unfortunately I've been shorted on more than 2 occasions when ordering from their website as well. I never even got an email or anything either time too, they either just didn't include a few comics I bought outright, or they threw in two copies of something that I already ordered to try & make up for what they didn't have. Kind of bummed me out, but I guess ya live & ya learn. |
