Lovely recent-ish chat with O.Schrauwen about Sunday and previous books, complete with a banging soundtrack (very much what you'd expect him to listen to). He says some interesting things about style in service of narrative, humor and annoying characters. wearevarious.com/ephameron/grafixx-house-call-3/There are more interviews on the site with Aisha Franz, Colorama, Tara Booth, ATAK & others.

This is both an interesting link in the internet sense and cosmic sense. Yesterday I read Alan Grant and Arthur Ranson's Judge Anderson Shamballa for the first time (what a comic!). I was blown away by Ranson's art and it sent me into a tizzy reading more about Alan Grant (RIP). Today I turned in my final draft of an interview I did with Hagai Palevsky for CANON #2. When I go to TCJ.com today what do I see? Arthur Ranson being interviewed by Hagai Palevsky. It all feels extra weird considering that Shamballa is about global fortean phenomena. www.tcj.com/all-very-existential-an-interview-with-arthur-ranson/

I found Alec Longstreth's site from reading Lars Ingebrigtsen's site today: www.phasesevencomics.com/It's one of the most well designed sites I've seen in a long time. You can read his back issues for free but also he links to the collected editions. I think it's really cool how he publishes one book per year by someone else too. I thought I had never heard of Longstreth before, but poking around I found out he was part of the Dvorak Zine (www.dvzine.org) that inspired me to type with the Dvorak keyboard layout for a full year. I'm easily swayed.

A thread to share links related with comics that we have enjoyed and feel would be interesting for others (like interviews, articles, etc.)
[This thread may be too general and have to be split in several? I don't know]
I right-clicked every image in this Pee Wee's Playhouse retrospective

Would highly recommend this interview to any cartoonist and artist, even if you donβt like Sethβs art. Some very inspiring stuff on style, practice, work routines. youtu.be/WXYjUocHXnU?si=nXZ6O2lOX0cb73xd

Seth gives great interviews, and I say that as someone who doesn't always connect with his work. Here's a quote I liked so much that I wrote it down. In the context of not rushing himself in making work and also pursuing non-comics interests, he says:

TIL Renee French designed the Golang Gopher. Dunno if there are other software dev types on here, but this blew my mind that the mascot for a programming language I really like is designed by a comic artist I really love. go.dev/blog/gopher
