Mack White! Oh man, all those Priapus stories in Tundra's Hyena, etc. Hilarious shit. "Hello Madame!"

I haven't watched Kayfabe in a long time but I went to their videos and sorted by "popular" out of curiosity, pretty funny results. Sex sells! Lol

Ironic that a completely hairless albino hemophiliac dresses and spits like a tough brother. Yet another clown whose entire life is lived like a cosplayer, SAD!

We should have a thread highlighting Golden Age artists who were peculiar - it's not just Fletcher Hanks, there were scores of guys doing odd work. Frankly the Golden Age produced much more interesting artists than the silver Age, if you're willing to look. I guess that's common of any artform's formative years. The Silver Age is like a calcification, other than a protean genius of Kirby and the virtuosity of, say, Toth, it was a bore.

I think most people here probably know of Dick Briefer's Frankenstein, but I enjoy his filler work most of all. Here are two one-off stories --Max the Magician and Skelly the Liberated Skeleton. Lots of beautifully fluid brushwork here, all done (supposedly) without the aid of preliminary pencils. I love the loose improvised look, as opposed to his rigid earlier work when Frankenstein was a straight horror comic. pappysgoldenage.blogspot.com/2013/04/number-1349-briefer-threefer.html

I will, I need to go through my scans of GA work - the guys I like all have their own folders, just a matter of me getting around to it.

I had no idea Gary Hallgren has been drawing Hagar The Horrible since 2015. I enjoyed hearing him talk about the strip business, especially what it's like today. Denis Kitchen interviews!

I came across Austin's 20 Questions with Cartoonists again, it remains a great resource and maybe some people here haven't seen it. Someone should pick this up again and get more folks to answer the questions. 20cartoonquestions.blogspot.com/

Check out the Supermen and Four Color Fear collections (OOP??) by Greg Sadowski. So much mind-bending stuff. The Atlas and Golden Age Marvel Masterworks are some good sources of this stuff too, tho expensive and mostly OOP.

"In 1953, Picasso posed for photographer André Villers, dressed up as E.C. Segar's Popeye (though given the fact that he wore a fake beard, it could be that he was actually imitating Popeye's father, Poopdeck Pappy)." www.lambiek.net/artists/p/picasso_pablo.htmcan't believe I hadn't seen this photo before, so awesome.
